The LIC Writing Series offers workshops for writers in Long Island City, NY,
a convenient neighborhood in Queens accessible via the 7/E/M/G subway lines. Workshops are led by LIC Reading Series founder Catherine LaSota.

Catherine LaSota is the founder and host of the LIC Reading Series and is an experienced essayist, journalist, and interviewer for publications such as Vice, Literary Hub, Catapult, and Publishers Weekly. She is a classically trained musician with an MFA in Sculpture from Parsons School of Design and loves to share her visual art know how with writers.
